Another day at the Philly Zoo with CHOP!

Last Sunday, we had the honor of joining CHOP and other families at the Philadelphia Zoo. It's always an amazing experience to see these children, each one a miracle and blessing, proving that their potential should never be underestimated. Every year, we make sure to see Thomas's neurosurgeon, Dr. Gregory Heuer, and spend time with Savannah Grace and her family (Encephalocele survivors who helped us navigate this rare diagnosis early on). We also got to meet another family who shared in our similar experience, which was a grace filled encounter to say the least.

Jess and her little warrior princess, Aliyah, with family in tow, greeted us with victorious smiles and such overwhelming joy. Holding that little girl was truly magical. Looking around, seeing all of these families that were told there was something wrong, hearing that the outcome didn't look good and watching these children, each defeating the odds - each enjoying a day at the Zoo with other warriors and the team at CHOP enabling their mission, is proof that God is always at work and that here is always hope.
Do good and be good!
